Intoxicated Suspect Kicks Officer In The Face: Police
Officers say what started as a simple domestic call escalated when an intoxicated suspect tried to resist arrest.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — What started as a domestic call ended with one man behind bars and an officer in the hospital Monday evening.
Prince William County Police say they received the domestic call for the Landings at Markhams Grant Apartments on Tassia Lane around 6 p.m. Monday night. When they arrived, officers say they found an intoxicated man wandering an exterior hallway. The man, later identified as 40-year-old Alhassan Kamara of Manassas, was quickly arrested, but as the officers walked him to their patrol car they say he began to resist arrest.
Police say the suspect stopped following commands and started fighting, sparking a brief struggle. At one point, the suspect allegedly kicked one of the arresting officers in the face, injuring the officer. Eventually police say they managed to get control of the situation and arrest Kamara.
