Intoxicated Woman Abandons Two Small Children in Dumfries: Police
Officers found the children, 1 and 4, inside a hotel room while their mother was outside in a vehicle, say Prince William County Police.
DUMFRIES, VA — A woman was arrested early Monday morning for leaving two young children unattended for more than an hour in a hotel room in the 16900 block of Old Stage Road, according to Prince William County Police.
Sherese Antoinette Harris, 35, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of felony child neglect.
She's being held without bond.

Around 3:45 a.m., police arrived at the hotel after a receiving a tip. They found a 1-year-old boy and a 4-year-old boy in one of the rooms, after which they found the kids' intoxicated mother outside in the parking lot sitting in a vehicle.
The children were released into the custody of a family member.
