Islamophobia has recently seen an increase in the US. The main cause for this is due to misconceptions and per a survey, 62% of Americans don’t even know a Muslim. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, in hopes of removing these misgivings and to educate our fellow Americans on the peaceful religion of Islam, is spearheading this effort. A religion often criticized by the public and media for being hostile, is holding a nationwide Meet A Muslim Day on Saturday March 11th.
Where 1000+ Muslims will go to the public and answer any questions someone may have to bridge the gap between American Muslims and non-Muslims. The South Virginia Chapter of the Association is holding the event at the Stonebridge Shopping Center in Woodbridge VA.
For more information everyone is encouraged to visit www.meetamuslim.us and come out to the event to receive the answers to questions one might have.
