WOODBRIDGE, VA — Independence Day is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in and around Woodbridge for 2023.

We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Woodbridge so you can start planning now.

  • Dale City Fourth of July Parade
    • When: Begins at 10 a.m. on July 4.
    • Where: Dale Boulevard, from Kirkdale Road to the Commuter Lot after Glendale Road by Dairy Queen.
    • After the event, parade participants will join in a family fun day at the commuter lot until 2 p.m. Residents often line the parade route to support their local businesses and organizations in the parade.
  • Celebrate America Festival
    • When: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4
    • Where: Historic Downtown Manassas
    • This party event includes rides for kids, face painting, concessions, and vendors. Fireworks are set to begin at 9:15 p.m.
  • Patriotic Palooza at Virginia Credit Union Stadium
    • Where: Virginia Credit Union Stadium in Fredericksburg
    • When: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 4
    • The event includes moon bounces and lawn games before a showing of the movie National Treasure at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin around 9 p.m.
  • Fourth of July Spectacular at John Lee Pratt Memorial Park
    • Where: Pratt Park in Stafford County.
    • When: Event begins at 6:30 p.m. on July 4. Fireworks start around 9:30 p.m.
    • The event includes lawn games, food trucks, and a DJ. There will also be a performance by the Fredericksburg Concert Band.
  • Washington, DC Fourth of July Celebration
    • When: Tuesday, July 4
    • Where: Around National Mall, Washington, DC
    • There will be various events for Fourth of July in DC, including the National Independence Day Parade from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. along Constitution Avenue NW from 7th Street NW to 17th Street NW with marching bands, fife and drum corps, floats, military units, giant balloons, equestrian, drill teams and more. A Capitol Fourth Concert is a free event held on the West Lawn of the United States Capitol at 8 p.m. and will be livestreamed. Fireworks will be held starting at 9:09 p.m., launched from both sides of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
