K-9 Tracks Down Armed Robbery Suspect

Man allegedly robbed pizza delivery driver early Tuesday, according to Prince William County Police.

There's no question who the top dog is today at the police station. A K-9 unit in Woodbridge tracked down the suspect in an overnight armed robbery early Tuesday, according to Prince William County Police.

Andre Shunti Gaughan, 20, of the 12700 block of Lost Creek Court, Manassas, is charged with robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Officers responded just after midnight Tuesday to the 3300 block of Vineland Place regarding a robbery. The victim, 24, told police that he was delivering a pizza when an unknown man approached him.

The suspect had what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the victim's wallet and the pizza, the suspect fled on foot.

The police K-9 and it's handler located the suspect in the 3300 block of Canton Court. The victim's wallet was found while searching Gaughan, according to police.

Officers would learn the alleged handgun was actually an airsoft gun.
