KFC Employees Forced Into Freezer Area By Armed Man: Police

An armed man forced employees into the freezer area of a KFC restaurant in Woodbridge during a robbery, according to police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County police are looking for a suspect in connection with an armed robbery of a Kentucky Fried Chicken on Monday in Woodbridge where employees were forced into the freezer area of the restaurant. The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

At around 9:20 a.m. Monday, police officers went to the KFC on Devils Reach Road to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed that an unknown man followed an employee into the restaurant, brandished a firearm and demanded the restaurant's safe to be opened.

At one point during the incident, the suspect fired a round into the ceiling of the restaurant. The suspect forced the employees into the freezer area before fleeing the restaurant. No injuries were reported.

Officers and a police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. The police are looking for a Black male, about 5-foot, 8-inches, with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing multi-colored clothing, according to the police.
