Kitten Dies After Being Kicked In The Head Multiple Times By Woodbridge Man: Police
An 18-year-old man from Woodbridge is charged with felony animal cruelty after repeatedly kicking a kitten in the head, police said.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — On Friday, a Woodbridge woman left her three-month-old kitten with a family member. After the cat's owner left the home, the relative repeatedly kicked the cat in the head, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
The cat, a Siamese and Maine Coon, died. Animal control officials said they are working to determine an exact cause of death.
The family member accused of kicking the cat, 18-year-old Frederick Grant Pierce, was arrested on Friday. He is charged with one count of felony animal cruelty.

Pierce was held on a $1,500 unsecured bond. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines. He could also be prohibited from owning animals.
Police officers arrived at the victim's apartment on Potomac Heights Place around 7 p.m. on Friday. The victim told police she left her kitten at the apartment with Pierce earlier in the day. When she returned, she found the cat unresponsive in the bedroom, authorities said.

"The investigation revealed at some point during the day, the accused kicked the kitten in the head multiple times," the police department said in its report.
