Local Spa Provides Peace and Wellness One Person at a Time
Lavender Retreat Wellness Club is new to the area.
From what began as a desire for rest and relaxation after long plane rides from Europe and Korea, entrepreneur Jamie Bohl has turned an opportunity into a blossoming business.
Many residents would have no idea about the oasis that is tucked behind the walls of the Ridgewood Center off of Prince William Parkway. The offers residents a spirit of peacefulness and tranquility. The Lavender Retreat Wellness Club is new to the area and is founded upon the entities of relaxation, nutrition and travel. At its heart the club was created to “improve lives."
Patch had the opportunity to speak to Bohl and her team –Jack Salgado and Beth Williams – about their business, entrepreneurship and the unique experience she provides her company. A summary and excerpt from the interview are below.

What is your business and what makes your business unique?
The Lavender Retreat Wellness Club: We are the only business that focuses on the three different entities: relaxation, nutrition and travel. When one client comes here they have endless possibilities to grow together. People will be able to provide relaxation massage to relax the body and relinquish stress. Nutrition is provided by a Naturopathic Doctor Heather Germain who provides health services including, weight loss, acne and asthma. Finally, the travel services will take people to places around the world including Africa, Greece, Turkey and China.

It is not simply a one-to-one relationship. We want people to have this be something that they are able to share their positive experience with the people that they know.
What advice would you give to entrepreneurs?
LRWC: Don’t be afraid to fail and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Also, if you work hard and do it the right way and are providing the good things to clients, the money will come.
What is the most exciting thing about being an entrepreneur?
LRWC: It is a lot of work, but the most exciting thing is being able to present to customers.
What is the most difficult thing about being an entrepreneur?
LRWC: A lot of people don’t know that we are here and the things that we are providing.
What type of events do you have?
LRWC: We put on events for people to come and just relax themselves and an opportunity to have a glass of wine and have a good time. We have events all of the time including Valentine’s Day and Ladies Nights. We use social media including Facebook and Twitter to let people know all the great things that we are doing.

The Lavender Retreat Wellness Club understands this and prides itself on providing an enjoyable experience for people so that they are improving their lives, are healthy and leaving people with a smile on their face.
