On the Roads
Throughout the morning, a work zone impacted traffic on I-66 westbound between VA-234 Prince William Parkway and US-29. The left lane gets by the work zone.

Throughout the morning, a work zone impacted traffic in both directions on I Street SW between 3rd Street SW and Delaware Ave SW. A road closure is in effect.
Throughout the morning, a work zone impacted traffic in both directions on T Street NW in both directions between 37th Street NW and 38th Street NW. A road closure is in effect.
At 4:53 a.m., fire department activity shut down both directions of F Street NW from 7th Street NW to 10th Street NW.
At 5:15 a.m., traffic lights started to malfunction in both directions of Loudoun County Parkway at Waxpool Road. Drivers should follow police direction.
At 5:17 a.m., the traffic lights went dark at Canal Road NW at Arizona Ave NW. Drivers should use caution in both directions of Canal Road NW.
At 6:52 a.m., there was a crash on northbound I-95 near Prince William Parkway. Drivers should be alert along the left side of the roadway.
At 6:54 a.m., there was a crash on westbound East Capitol Street at Southern Avenue. Drivers should follow police direction.
At 7:51 a.m., there was a downed tree on Lincolnia Road affecting both directions of traffic near VA-244.
On the Rails
On the Orange Line, the Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover and New Carrollton remain closed through Labor Day due to a summer platform improvement project. Local and express shuttles are available at Stadium-Armory.
Weather
It will be hot and humid again on Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 90s with heat indices nearing 100. There's a chance of heavy thunderstorms throughout the region in the evening.
