Man Ambushed, Robbed In Woodbridge: Police

A man was ambushed and robbed by a group of men after agreeing to meet an acquaintance, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A scheduled meeting with an acquaintance went terribly awry for a 51-year-old Woodbridge man Tuesday night in the 14600 block of Minnieville Road, according to Prince William County Police. When the man arrived, he was approached by several men, one of whom flashed a gun.

The suspects took the man's purse and money and then fled in a vehicle. After an investigation, one of the suspects was identified as Joseph Blane Wilburn, 25, of the 3100 block of Oakmont Drive in Triangle. Attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful.

Wilburn is described as 5-5, 150 pounds with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. He's wanted for robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, conspiracy to use a firearm in the commission of a felony, and conspiracy to violate the drug control act.
