Man Arrested For Gouging Woman in Woodbridge: Police

A man was arrested Saturday for gouging a woman in her eye with his finger late last month, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man who gouged a female acquaintance in the eye with his finger late last month in the area of Neabsco Road and Jefferson Davis Highway, causing her to be hospitalized, was arrested Saturday, according to Prince William County Police.

Dashawn Lamar Moore-Taylor, 23, of the 19100 block of Wayne Drive in Triangle, was found in the Fredericksburg area and charged with attempted malicious wounding. His court date is pending and he's being held without bond.

Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on March 29, police responded to the scene. A 21-year-old Fredericksburg woman told them she and Moore-Taylor got into an argument that turned violent. She said he grabbed her by the hair and then gashed her eye before fleeing.
