Man Assaults Cop In Woodbridge: Police
A man was arrested Wednesday night after shoving an officer investigating a report of individuals smoking pot in Woodbridge: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA โ A man was arrested Wednesday night after shoving โ and then fleeing from โ an officer investigating a report of individuals smoking pot near a building in the 2000 block of Horizon Court, according to Prince William County Police. Desean Walter Leroy Harris, 22, of the 3400 block of Stanton Road in Washington, D.C., was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, obstruction of justice and possession of a concealed weapon.
Shortly before 10 p.m., officers responded to the scene after receiving a report of drug activity. When police arrived, they found three men standing in the hallway amid a strong odor of marijuana. They tried to detain Harris but he pushed an officer and ran toward the front of the building.

A brief foot chase ensued but Harris was caught and arrested. During the chase, he dropped a handgun that was recovered by police. Afterward, police found he was wanted in Maryland for unrelated charges. He's being held without bond.
