Man Assaults Officers In Woodbridge: Police
A man is being held without bond after assaulting one officer and trying to assault another Monday in Manassas, according to PWC Police.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man is being held without bond after assaulting one officer and trying to assault another Monday in the 14800 block of Ashdale Avenue, according to Prince William County Police. Anthony Andrew Johnson, Jr., 20, of the aforementioned address, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, attempted assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice.
Around 9:30 a.m., police went to the residence to serve an emergency custody order on Johnson. When the arrived, he resisted efforts to arrest him. He punched one officer in the upper body and tried to grab a second officer. He finally was subdued. Johnson suffered minor injuries.
