WOODBRIDGE, VA โ€” A man who punched an acquaintance in the face during an argument Wednesday night and then stole the person's cell phone in the 14500 block of Bakersfield Street before fleeing was arrested shortly thereafter, according to Prince William County Police. Deshawn Terrell Martin, 32, of the 14500 block of Bakersfield Street, was charged with robbery. Turns out he also was wanted in another Virginia jurisdiction on an unrelated charge.

Around 6:45 p.m., police responded to the aforementioned address to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 20-year-old man, said he and Martin were in an argument that escalated. That's when he was socked in the face and had his cell phone stolen. A K-9 unit searched for the suspect to no avail but he was eventually located in the area of Forestdale Avenue and Fairview Lane and detained without incident.
