Man Beats Up Woman Twice In Woodbridge: Police

TRIANGLE, VA—A man beat up a woman, fled the scene and waited for the cops to come and go, then returned and did it all over again Saturday night at a residence in the 4100 block of Agency Loop, according to Prince William County Police. After the second assault, John Daniel Abel, 39, of the aforementioned address, was found nearby and charged with two counts of domestic assault and battery and one count of strangulation.

The woman, 33, said she and Abel—a family member—were involved in an argument that escalated around 9 p.m. He pushed her to the ground, pushed her and choked her. They eventually separated and he called police, who got a warrant for his arrest. But around 11:15 p.m., he returned and assaulted her again. One again, she called the cops. Once again, he fled. There would be no third time.
