Man Bites Cop, Spits On Another In Woodbridge: Police

A man is being held after kicking out a window inside a police cruiser, spitting on one officer and biting another in Woodbridge: PWC Cops.

WOODBRIDGE, VA โ€” A man is being held without bond after kicking out a side window while inside a police cruiser, spitting on one officer and biting another Tuesday night in the 14700 block of Anderson Street, according to Prince William County Police. Javier A. Mejia Cardenas, 21, of the aforementioned address, was charged with three counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, 1 count of obstruction of justice, 1 count of destruction of property, one count of marijuana possession and one count of disorderly conduct.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., police responded to the scene for a reported disorderly person. They found an unruly man being detained by a family member in the front yard. When he was released from the family member's hold, he continued to be unruly and thus was arrested. (For more local news, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts. When he was put in the cruiser, he kicked out the side window. When officers again tried to further restrain him, he spit on one and bit another on the lower body. Later, while he was being processed at the Adult Detention Center, he pushed another officer in the chest.
