Man Charged After Hit-And-Run Crash At Woodbridge Gas Station

The man is facing several charges in connection with the incident that occurred last month in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge man is facing charges after police said he struck a person with his car twice in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven.

Demarcus Byrdsong, 29, was arrested earlier this month in connection with the Feb. 15 incident that occurred at the convenience store located at 2621 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge.

According to police, officers first responded to the store around 9 a.m. after receiving a call about a hit-and-run.

When officers arrived, the 59-year-old victim told police he was in the parking lot when he was struck by a
white sedan driven by a man later identified as Byrdsong, authorities said.

After striking the victim, police said Byrdsong circled back into the parking lot. When the victim attempted to approach him, police said Byrdsong struck the victim with the car a second time before leaving the area.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, Byrdsong was charged with one count of malicious wounding and two counts of hit-and-run.
