Man Dies After Falling Into Water At Prince William Marina: Police
A 73-year-old man died after he fell into the water on Saturday afternoon at the Prince William Marina on Gordon Boulevard in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man died after he fell into the water at the Prince William Marina in Woodbridge on Saturday, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Police identified the man as Kinney Howard Simpkins, a 73-year-old man from Unionville, Virginia. Authorities have not officially determined what caused his death.
Around 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, police officers went to the Prince William Marina on Gordon Boulevard in Woodbridge to assist fire and rescue personnel. Officers determined that Simpkins was docking his boat at the marina when he fell into the water.

A nearby family member began calling for help and a marina employee went into the water and began performing CPR on Simpkins, according to the police report. Later, first responders from the Fairfax County Police Marine Unit arrived and took over CPR.
An ambulance arrived and took Simpkins to the hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries, the police department said.

Authorities took Simpkins's body to the Medical Examiner's Officer for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The police department said investigators do not suspect any foul play in Simpkins's death.
