Man Dodges Gunfire, Struck With Bat in Woodbridge: Police
He was talking to a female acquaintance outside his residence when two men appeared. One hit him with a bat and the other fired shot at him.

WOODBRIDGE, VA โ A 21-year-old Woodbridge man was shot at and whacked with a bat by two men early Thursday morning outside his residence in the 3200 block of Berlin Court, according to Prince William County Police.
And another person, a female, apparently was involved in the incident.
A few minutes after 2 a.m., police responded to a report of a shooting, and the victim told police he was talking to a female acquaintance when two men approached โ one armed with a gun and one armed with a bat.

He told police when he attempted to flee on foot, one of the men hit him with the bat and the other man began firing multiple shots in his direction.
He escaped unharmed, and the suspects fled in a vehicle.

Police said at the time the incident didn't appear to be random, and sure enough, they apparently were right.
Later that day, the female acquaintance was arrested without incident at her residence.
Shatoria Lakia Miles, 18, of the 9900 block of Leander Lane in Manassas, was charged with attempted aggravated malicious wounding and conspiracy to commit aggravated malicious wounding.
She's being held without bond.
