Bostic is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. He has a bond hearing scheduled for Friday before a preliminary hearing on Jan. 22, 2024.

The incident occurred before 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge. Investigators said a man exposed himself to a 34-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl, and an 18-year-old man before damaging a Jewelry Repair Kiosk.

Police officers were later called to the scene for an assault. Witnesses said a man, later identified as Bostic, was confronting people at the mall. The police department said Bostic struck a 25-year-old man before grabbing a 55-year-old woman and holding a boxcutter to her neck.

Bostic eventually let the woman go and ran to the parking lot, where he climbed on top of a tractor-trailer, the police report said. Police officers were then able to take him into custody.

Before he could be placed in a police vehicle, officers said Bostic resisted and tried to pull a firearm from their holster. He was unsuccessful, authorities said.
