Man Fatally Shot Neighbor In Woodbridge On Saturday: Police
A Woodbridge man was arrested on Saturday after authorities said he fatally shot his neighbor during an argument at their apartment complex.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge man shot and killed his neighbor at the Summerland Heights Apartments on Saturday evening, the Prince William County Police Department said.
Authorities identified the victim as 43-year-old Kareem Rasheen Tyrone Harris. He was taken to a hospital after the shooting, where he died of his injuries.
The police department identified the shooting suspect as 25-year-old Malcolm Andre Monts. He is charged with murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

He is being held without bond at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. Monts's court date is pending.
If convicted of all charges, Monts could face up to 43 years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Summerland Heights Apartments on Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge. Authorities said Monts and Harris had an argument on the patio of a ground floor apartment.
The argument escalated and Monts shot Harris, the police report said. Monts returned to his own apartment after the shooting, where police officers took him into custody.
Police officers provided first aid to Harris before taking him to an area hospital, the police department said. Harris died at the hospital.
