Man Jumps On Hood As Teenager Tries To Steal His Car: Police
A motorist chased after the teenager after he got out of the stolen car and detained him until the Prince William County police arrived.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man was leaving a business in Woodbridge around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday when he noticed a person in the driver's seat of his car trying to leave the area. The man jumped on the hood of the car and stayed there until the suspect stopped the car in the area of Blackburn Road and Reddy Drive, the Prince William County Police Department said Thursday.
Another motorist saw the man on the hood of the vehicle and followed. When the suspect stopped the car and began running away, the motorist chased after him and caught him. He detained the person, a 16-year-old male, until the police arrived, according to the Prince William County police.
The man who jumped on the hood of his car reported minor injuries.

The police found the suspect with tobacco products and suspected marijuana. Following their investigation, the police arrested the 16-year-old and charged him with malicious wounding, grand larceny, possession of marijuana and possession of tobacco by a minor. He is being held at the Prince William Juvenile Detention Center.
