Man Punches and Kicks Three Officers in Woodbridge: Police

Wanted on hit and run charges, he finally was subdued with a TASER at the police station, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man wanted for questioning in a hit and run incident Wednesday night in the area of Prince William Parkway and Moore Drive reported to Gar-Field police station and then assaulted officers who tried to arrest him in the lobby, according to Prince William County Police.

Marz Jaxon Carty, 23, of the 12800 block of Marblestone Drive, was charged with three counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of felony hit and run, one count of obstruction of justice, one count of resisting arrest and one count of aggressive driving with intent to injure.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m., police arrived to investigate a hit and run accident and a suspect, Carty, was identified. Later, in the police station lobby, he tried to run out through the front doors, struggled with officers, punched and kicked three of them and finally was subdued by a TASER.

Carty is being held without bond.
