Man Sought for Assaulting Family Member in Woodbridge: Police

After failing to cut the victim with a knife, the suspect whacked him in the head with a blunt object, say Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man in his mid-20s tried to attack a 56-year-old family member with a knife and then whacked him in the head with a blunt object last Friday before fleeing in the 14800 block of Emberdale Drive, according to Prince William County Police.

Aaron Sean Emery, 26, of the 7600 block of Marin Woods Court in Lorton, is wanted for two counts of malicious wounding, one count of cutting during the commission of a felony and one count of threats by electronic means.

He's described as black, 6-1, 175 pounds with brown eyes and black hair and possibly a beard.

Shortly after 8 p.m., police responded to the scene and found that the victim had been involved in an argument with Emery, after which he he tried and failed to cut the victim and then hit him, causing minor injuries.
