Man Terrorizes Woman In Woodbridge: Police
A man broke into a female acquaintance's apartment Friday night, prompting her to flee to a bedroom lock it: Prince William County Police.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man broke into a female acquaintance's apartment Friday night in the 1500 block of Monroe Drive, prompting her to flee to a bedroom and lock the door, according to Prince William County Police. Jose Elmer Bonilla, 38, of the 4100 block of Glendale Road, was arrested and charged with strangulation, burglary with intent to commit assault and domestic assault and battery. He's being held without bond.
Around 9:45 p.m., police responded to the woman's apartment. Bonilla was still inside but the wouldn't answer the locked front door. Police then forced their way into the apartment and detained him without incident. Further investigation found that the victim, 31, had been assaulted and choked Aug. 4 by Bonilla but police weren't contacted.
