Man Threatens To Burn Towed Vehicle In Woodbridge: Police

A man threatened a police officer who oversaw the towing of a family vehicle and then threatened to burn the vehicle: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man threatened a police officer who oversaw the towing of a family vehicle and then threatened to burn the vehicle at the lot to which it was towed Wednesday afternoon in the 2900 block of Williamsburg Court, according to Prince William County Police.

Richard Benard Denney, 30, of the aforementioned address, was arrested at his home and charged with two counts of threats to burn and one count of threats over the public airway.

Around 3:45 p.m., police went to the residence for a reported threat. They confirmed that Denney called the Prince William County Public Safety Communications Center to inquire about a family vehicle that had been towed. While talking with the operator, he made threats to the officer who had the vehicle towed, and threatened to burn the vehicle where it was being stored.
