WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man wanted for threatening a woman and her two children barricaded himself inside a bedroom for several hours Saturday in the 3200 block of Burbank Lane before being forcibly removed, according to Prince William County Police. Michael Brian Allen, 27, of the aforementioned address, was charged with three counts of communicating a threat of bodily harm over electronic means.
Around 7 p.m., police went to a Woodbridge home for a report of threatening text messages. A 27-year-old woman said she had received several threatening text messages from Allen, and they "suggested an act of violence against the victim and her two children."
After investigation, police obtained arrest warrants for Allen. When they arrived at his home, he barricaded himself inside an upstairs bedroom. Officers with the Crisis Intervention and Crisis Negotiation teams unsuccessfully tried to coax him out over several hours.
