Man Wanted for Abducting Child, Assaulting Acquaintance in Dumfries: Police

He later returned to the scene and returned the child and left before Prince William County Police arrived.

DUMFRIES, VA — A man got into a fight with a female acquaintance Sunday, hit her, threatened her and a friend with a knife and then took off with the victim's 1-year-old son before later returning him in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Drive, according to Prince William County Police.

Perry Marquelle Ford, 23, of the 1000 block of 15th Street southeast in D.C., is wanted for two counts of attempted malicious wounding, once count of abduction, one count of domestic assault and battery and one count of grand larceny.

He's described as black, 5-11, 150 pounds with black eyes and brown hair.

The victim, a 23-year-old Dumfries woman, told police after getting into a heated argument with the suspect, he hit her, after which she called a 28-year-old female family member for assistance.

Once the relative arrived, Ford allegedly threatened both women with a knife, grabbed the victim's car keys and drove away with the child. He eventually, and police weren't contacted until later.
