Man Wanted For Woodbridge Party Shooting Arrested in Stafford: Police

One man was shot in the upper body during a party Aug. 1, and Prince William County Police found the suspect with help from U.S. Marshals.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man wanted for shooting another man during a large party last summer in the 2500 block of Miranda Court was arrested Monday in Stafford by a U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, according to Prince William County Police.

Jamaunta DeShawn McQueen, 21, of the 18100 block of Kilmer Lane in Triangle, was charged one count of aggravated malicious wounding, one count of malicious wounding and two counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Back on Aug. 1, police responded to Miranda Court shortly after 1:30 a.m. to investigate a shooting. A man, 20, was shot in the upper body by someone in a group of three back males, according to police. Occupants of the home followed the males' red sedan to the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Powell's Creek Boulevard, where more gunfire broke out, albeit with no reported injuries.

McQueen is being held without bond.
