Military Quartet Heading To ‘America’s Got Talent’ Semifinals

Voices of Service, with members hailing from Woodbridge and Williamsburg, advanced last week to perform in the September semifinals.

Local singing quarter Voices of Service advanced to the coveted semifinal round of “America’s Got Talent” after competing Wednesday night, according to reports. Voices of Service is comprised of veteran and active-duty military from the Washington, D.C. area, and includes longtime Washington Capitals anthem singer, Caleb Green of Woodbridge.

Other members of the group are Jason Hannah and Christal Rheams of Woodbridge, and Ron Henry of Williamsburg. On Tuesday’s episode, the group performed Gavin DeGraw’s “Fire,” WTOP-TV reported.

Last week, the group performed “See You Again” by Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa, and previously gave a lauded performance of “Rise” by Katie Perry.”

The semifinals include performances on Sept. 3 and 10, and results shows on Sept. 4 and 11. Twenty-one acts advanced through the quarterfinals and one more wildcard will be added. Each week, 11 acts will perform with five making it to the finals.

The two-part final will air live on Sept. 17 and 18. On the last night, the top five will be revealed before the ultimate winner. The winner of “America’s Got Talent” receives $1 million and a chance to headline at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
