Mom Assaults Daughter On Way To School In Dumfries: Police
A mother hit her juvenile daughter in the face Tuesday morning along Wayside Drive in Dumfries, say Prince William County Police.

DUMFRIES, VA — A mother hit her juvenile daughter in the face Tuesday morning along Wayside Drive, causing minor injuries, according to Prince William County Police. Lakia Dillene Mister, 42, of the 17200 block of Wexford Loop, was charged with felony child abuse.
Shortly before 2 p.m., police, along with Child Protective Services, began investigating the incident. They found that the victim and her mom were involved in a argument that escalated, leading to the girl being struck in the face. A school staffer noticed the injury and called police.
