Mother Charged With 2 Counts Of Child Neglect In Woodbridge
A woman is being held without bond after leaving her 3-month-old daughter unattended and possibly smoking pot near the child: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A woman is being held without bond after repeatedly leaving her 3-month-old daughter unattended and possibly smoking pot near the child in the 13600 block of Charles Court, according to Prince William County Police. Sindi Mabel Martinez Mejia, 23, of the aformentioned address, was charged with two counts of felony child neglect.
Around 2 a.m. on Dec. 17, police went to the residence for a reported domestic concern. An investigation found that the mother left the child unattended on more than one occasion in an "unkempt" house that has potentially unsafe living conditions.
Police also found that the girl may have been "in close proximity" to her mother while the latter was smoking marijuana. The baby was released to the custody of a caretaker.
