Motorcyclist Dies After Triangle Crash On Saturday: Police
A 56-year-old woman from Oakton died on Saturday after she crashed her motorcycle in Triangle on Joplin Road, the police department said.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A motorcyclist died on Saturday after she crashed her motorcycle into a tree near Joplin Road in Triangle, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Authorities identified the motorcycle rider as Brooke Allyson Shambeck, a 56-year-old woman from Oakton.
The police department said no other vehicles were involved in the crash, which occurred near mile marker 18 on Joplin Road.

Police said the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Investigators said Shambeck was riding a 2013 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster southbound on Joplin Road with a group of other riders before the crash.
As she neared mile marker 18, Shambeck was unable to negotiate a sharp curve in the road, police said. She crossed over the double yellow line before hitting a tree.

Rescue personnel responded and an ambulance took Shambeck to the hospital where she later died, according to the police report.
