Motorist Hit By Car After I-95 Fender Bender, Suspect Vehicle Sought: Police
A man died on Sunday after he was hit by a car on I-95, police said. Now authorities are looking for the car that hit him.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A man died after he was struck by a car on Interstate 95 near Quantico on Sunday, according to Virginia State Police. Now, authorities are looking for the vehicle that hit him.
Around 2 a.m. on Sunday, a pair of vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of I-95 at mile marker 148 near Quantico, Virginia State Police said in a news release. The crash only involved minor damage, and both vehicles pulled onto the left shoulder of the highway.
One of the drivers involved in the intial crash, who police identifed as an adult man, exited his vehicle and began walking across the southbound lanes. He was then struck by a car, according to authorities.

The victim has not yet been publicly identified as authorities work to notify his next of kin.
The car that hit the victim then left the scene, police said. Authorities believe the car was a red Toyota Corrola, possibly with a model year between 2009 and 2013. The car should have damage to its passenger side at the front bumper, mirror, and hood.
