Murder Investigation After Body Found in Woodbridge
Victim had no known ties to the area, according to Prince William County Police.

Detectives are investigating the murder of a 19-year-old Montgomery County man found dead in the Woodbridge area, according to Prince William County Police.
This is the county’s sixth homicide in 2015.
Officers investigating an unrelated shooting in the area found the remains on Sept. 29 in a wooded area in the 14300 block of Westminister Lane, according to police spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Perok.

Based on the Medical Examiner’s analysis, detectives from the Homicide Unit are investigating the death as a murder. The exact cause of death is still pending.
The victim has been identified as Guillermo Hernandez Leyva, 19, of Montgomery County. He has no known ties to the Prince William County area, according to police.

Delayed due to bad weather this month, police searched Tuesday in the area where the remains were found, according to police.
At this point, no suspects have been identified in connection with this investigation.
