Napping Babysitter Sought For Child Neglect In Dumfries: Police

Authorities are looking for a babysitter who left two young children unattended while napping Saturday afternoon in Dumfries: PWC Police.

DUMFRIES, VA — Authorities are looking for a babysitter who left two young children unattended Saturday afternoon while she was sleeping and then fled investigators by climbing out of a rear bedroom window in the 3500 block of Briarwood Drive, according to Prince William County Police.

Amanda Sue Allen, 30, of the 3200 block of Burbank Lane in Woodbridge, is described as white, 5-8, 225 pounds with red hair and green eyes. She's wanted for probation violation, two counts of felony child neglect and one count of giving false identity to law enforcement.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m., police arrived at the scene for a report of child neglect. They found an 11-month-old girl and a 2-year-old boy outside with no supervision. Then they found the residence, where the babysitter was asleep. At some point during the investigation, Allen made her escape.
