New Barnes And Noble Location To Open In Stonebridge In 'First Few Weeks' Of March

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Woodbridge's first Barnes and Noble location plans to open its doors at the Stonebridge shopping center next month, the company told Patch. The Stonebridge store will open in the storefront that was formerly occupied by Charming Charlie.

The store's opening has seen several delays since it was announced in 2021. Barnes and Noble was originally expected to open in January, but unspecified delays pushed the opening to February and into March.

"We will be opening our Woodbridge location the first few weeks in March," Barnes and Noble told Patch this week. "The new Barnes & Noble is the first to open in Woodbridge and features a thoughtful design with a café, large book rooms and a beautiful assortment of stationery, puzzles, board games and toys."

New hardcover releases are a mainstay for any book store, the company said. However, the Stonebridge location will also include several specialty sections to draw in new customers.

"Especially notable is a fantastic children’s section, a robust selection of history titles and a large book room full of mystery and thriller books" Barnes and Noble said. "Young adult titles and manga, all of which continue to grow in popularity, have a large footprint in the store, too."

An exact opening date for the new store hasn't been announced yet. The company said that readers can stay tuned to the store's social media accounts for updates. Barnes and Noble is also hiring for part-time positions at the new store.
