WOODBRIDGE, VA — The Board of County Supervisors this week selected Tim Keen as the next chief of Prince William County Fire and Rescue. Keen, who was named acting chief following the retirement of former Chief Kevin McGee, is a 40-year veteran of the department.

Keen’s selection followed an extensive search and interview process, the county said in a release. Keen was selected because he is a proven leader, the release said.

“He knows this community, has dedicated his professional life to serving Prince William County, and has demonstrated the ability to lead a combined Fire and Rescue System through any challenge and transition," said Corey Stewart, chairman of the Board of County Supervisors.
