New Woodbridge Movie Theater Making Premiere: Report

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is opening its doors to diners and moviegoers in the Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — It's dinner and a movie, all in one place. A theater that offers dining and adult beverages will open its doors Saturday in Woodbridge, and then celebrate its grand opening next week, according to a media report.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, at 15200 Potomac Town Place, will offer eight movie screens with more than 900 seats, along with full service in-theater dining and a full bar, reports the Washington Business Journal. Drinks will include a large selection of draft beers, wines and cocktails.

It's the second Alamo Cinema Drafthouse to open in Northern Virginia; the theater chain also has a location in Ashburn. The Alamo Drafthouse Woodbridge is in the Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center, just east of Interstate 95 and north of Dale Boulevard.

The Woodbridge theater is the first Alamo Drafthouse Cinema to feature The Big Show, a large-format auditorium with 66-foot curved screen, RGB 4K Laser Projector and three-dimensional sound, the Business Journal reported.

The theater will open starting Saturday for discounted staff training days, and celebrate its official grand opening on Thursday, June 14.
