No Holidays: Area Law Enforcement Get Big Thanks

Coffee shop gift cards, holiday treats and full meals delivered to police stations over the Christmas holiday.

It isn’t a thankless job, but it’s one many of us forget doesn’t come with three-day holidays. While everyone was unwrapping gifts under the tree, first responders were at work protecting our communities in the region.

With the help of donors, Stafford’s Walter Bouchard and his children delivered 127 gift cards for area coffee shops to police stations in the Fredericksburg area.

“This was a groundswell effort,” Bouchard told Fredericksbug.com, “and it’s really all about them and what they do for us.”

Prince William County Police thanked good samaritans delivering goodies to stations on Christmas.

“We wanted to send a sincere thank you to our PWC community for taking the time out of your own busy holiday to stop by our stations and bring our officers snacks, treats and even full meals,” according to a Facebook post. “Your kindness and generosity has truly had a great impact on our officers.”
