Officer Spat Upon In Woodbridge

After being arrested for being drunk in public along with several other folks in Woodbridge, a man spit on an officer while being booked.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — After being arrested for being drunk in public along with several other folks early Thursday at Brittany's Restaurant, 12449 Dillingham Square, a man spit on an officer while being booked at the Adult Detention Center, according to Prince William County Police. Kareem Tamara Taylor. 24, of the 5600 block of Harrington Falls Lane in Alexandria, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and public intoxication.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., police arrived at the scene to investigate "several suspicious individuals." Officers determined they were intoxicated and arrested them, one of whom later things quite worse for himself. No injuries were reported.
