Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra Performs Friday in Woodbridge, Saturday in Manassas

Handel's Messiah will be showcased during "sing along" at the First Baptist Church and Grace United Methodist Church.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Lucy from Peanuts might not be a big fan of this, what with her preference of "Jingle Bells" during the holidays, but a lot of folks will, in fact, be big fans of this.

It's the "Annual Messiah Sing Along," set for tonight in Woodbridge and Saturday night in Manassas.

Tonight's free show, performed by the Old Bridge Chamber Orchestra, is 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 13600 Minnieville Road.

Saturday's performance is 7:30 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road.

It's heavy on the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah.

"Our Messiah Sing Along is easily our most popular event" said OBCO Board President and Concert mistress, Sheyna Burt. "One of our choral members described it as the most moving musical experience he had ever had ... there is something profound and beautiful about hundreds of people joining forces to produce this music."
