One Dead in Triangle Wreck Early Friday

Car in fatal crash was found fully engulfed in flames with driver inside, according to Prince William County Police.

One person was killed in a car crash in Triangle early Friday morning, according to Prince William County Police.

Investigators are awaiting positive identification of the fatality, the driver in a single-vehicle wreck.

Officers responded at midnight Friday to the area of 18100 Joplin Road.

The vehicle was found fully engulfed in flames, according to a police statement.

The driver was located inside the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

It is believed that the 2009 Pontiac Vibe, occupied only by the driver, was traveling eastbound on Joplin Rd when it left the roadway.

It is unknown at this time if speed, alcohol, and drugs are factors.
