Passenger Dies 3 Weeks After Woodbridge Crash; Driver Fled Scene: Police
A passenger died on Friday, 3 weeks after a crash in Woodbridge, police said. Authorities are looking for the driver who fled the scene.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A 30-year-old man died on Friday, three weeks after a car crash in Woodbridge, police said. Authorities are still working to identify one of the drivers in the crash who fled the scene.
The Prince William County Police Department identified the deceased passenger as Eric Matthew Kuhn, a 30-year-old man from Winchester.
The crash occurred around 11 p.m. on April 29 at the intersection of Old Bridge Road and Colby Drive in Woodbridge. Authorities reported that a 2020 Kia Sorento was stopped at a red light at the intersection before the crash. A 2011 Ford F-150 truck failed to stop and crashed into the back of the Kia.

The truck continued off the road and hit a light pole before stopping. The driver of the Ford F-150 fled the scene, according to the police report.
Kuhn was a passenger in the truck, police said. First responders took him to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died from injuries suffered in the crash.

The driver of the Kia, who police did not identify, also received treatment at a hospital for injuries. Their injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.
"Investigators are actively seeking to confirm the identity of the driver of the Ford truck," the police department said in a news release on Tuesday. "Investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact police."
