Pedestrian Struck By Car In Triangle Dies From Injuries: Police
The driver, a 54-year-old man from Manassas, remained on the scene in the Triangle area after his vehicle struck the pedestrian.
TRIANGLE, VA — A 23-year-old man who was hit by a car in the Triangle area last week died from his injuries Sunday, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Giovanni Crystalgo Caballeros of Dumfries was struck just before 6 p.m. last Wednesday while walking in the roadway of Route 1 near Quantico Gateway Drive, the police said.
Caballeros was transported to an area hospital after getting struck. Speed, alcohol, or drug use were not factors in the collision with the driver of the vehicle, according to the police.
The vehicle, a 2010 Explorer Sport-Trac, was traveling northbound on Route 1 when it struck Cabelleros. The driver, a 54-year-old man from Manassas, remained on the scene, the police said.

A sidewalk was available in the area where Caballeros was walking in the roadway, according to the police.
