Peeping Tom Caught in Mall Bathroom in Women's Clothes

Suspect in custody has been linked to peeping incidents at Potomac Mills Mall and Wal-Mart, according to Prince William County Police.

A man dressed as a woman was caught peeping under a stall at women in a mall bathroom on Monday, according to Prince William County Police. He is in custody and linked to at least two previous incidents.

Richard Rodriguez, 30, of 402 Old Greenwich Dr in Fredericksburg, is charged with 3 counts of unlawful filming of a nonconsenting person and 3 counts of peeping.

On Monday, an Alabama woman was in a stall in a mall bathroom at Potomac Mills Mall when she saw a bag protruding from under a neighboring stall.

When she attempted to confront the suspect, police say she discovered it was Rodriquez dressed in womenโ€™s clothing. He attempted to enter another stall when she contacted mall security.

Detectives from the Special Victims Unit determined the accused was the same suspect involved in two similar incidents. One was in May at a nearby Wal-Mart, as well as last month at Potomac Mills. In that case, the suspect was also confronted by a victim, but he was able to flee the scene.

Rodriquez is being held without bond.
