Police: Adult Allegedly Bites Toddler at Daycare in Woodbridge
Employee faces assault charge, while facility owner charged with failure to report abuse.

Two women at a Woodbridge area daycare are facing charges after one of the women allegedly bit a toddler earlier this month, according to Prince William County Police. The women were charged on Friday.
Detectives responded to the Goddard School at 5490 Staples Mill Plaza on Tuesday regarding an alleged assault Sept. 11.
“The investigation into the incident revealed that a teacher of the facility, identified as Theresa Brown, allegedly bit a 13 month old boy after the child reportedly bit another teacher,” according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

The child had a bite mark on his shoulder, and a witness reportedly alerted the management immediately, according to Perok.
“The owner of the Goddard School, identified as Nadia Choudhry, was made aware of the incident as well but failed to report it to Child Protective Services in accordance with state law,” Perok said in a statement. “The owner further informed the reporting staff member to not report the incident to authorities.”

An anonymous report was made to Child Protective Services on Sept. 12, prompting the investigation.
Brown, 24, of the 15500 Traverser Ct, Woodbridge, is charged with assault and battery.
Choudhry, 24, of the 6600 block of Olga Ln, Manassas, is charged with failure to report child abuse or neglect.
