Police: Broken Chair Leg Used in Assault
Victim beaten in the face and arm, according to Prince William County Police.
A woman is in custody after an altercation led to an assault with a broken chair leg, according to Prince William County Police.
Tene Marie Hughes, 25, of no fixed address, is charged with malicious wounding. She is being held without bond.
Officers responded to the assault at 11:20 a.m. Sunday in the 14300 block of Potomac Mills Road, a commercial area off Opitz Boulevard that includes several restaurants.

The victim, a 38-year-old woman of Manassas, told police that she was in an argument with Hughes that escalated, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.
“During the encounter, the accused retrieved a broken chair leg and struck the victim in the face and arm,” Perok said in a statement.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
