Police Charge 2 Men With Carjacking In Woodbridge
Two men from Delaware were arrested in connection with a carjacking in a parking lot on Route 1 late Thursday night, police said.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two men from Delaware were arrested in connection with a carjacking in a parking lot on Route 1 late Thursday night, according to the Prince William County Police Department. The victim reported minor injuries in the incident.
At around 11:45 p.m. Thursday, police officers went to the 13400 block of Route 1 in Woodbridge to investigate the carjacking. The victim, a 50-year-old man, reported to police that while in the parking lot, he was approached by two unknown men.
Following a brief encounter, the suspects allegedly struck the victim and took his cell phone and car keys. The suspects allegedly fled in the victim’s vehicle and the victim contacted the police.

While canvassing the area, Prince William County police officers found the vehicle in the 1200 block of Annapolis Way. It was unoccupied.
A short time later, officers located two men matching the description of the suspects nearby and detained one of them. The other suspect initially fled on foot and was eventually located inside a nearby business and taken into custody without incident.

Police recovered the victim’s cell phone and vehicle. Following the investigation, the police identified the suspects as Zjahmere Reakwon Walker, 20, and Trashaun Kwame Walker, 22.
Zjahmere Reakwon Walker has been charged with carjacking and petit larceny. Trashaun Kwame Walker was charged with carjacking. Both men are being held in jail without bond.
