Police: DUI Suspect Clipped Officer Directing Traffic in Woodbridge
The officer was treated and released from an area hospital, according to Prince William County Police.

A man is accused of hitting a police officer with his car in Woodbridge on Tuesday night, according to Prince William County Police.
Jose Osmin Lizama, 45, of 8160 Gilroy Road, Lorton, is charged with driving under the influence and unreasonable refusal.
At 9:51 p.m. Tuesday, the officer was directing traffic in the area of Horner Road and Occoquan Road related to a fatal crash on Jefferson Davis Highway, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

“As the officer was controlling the intersection, a driver of a vehicle, identified as the accused, proceeded through the intersection and clipped the officer,” Perok said in a statement.
Lizama remained at the scene and it was determined he was under the influence of alcohol, according to Perok.

The officer was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
